What We Have Achieved in 2025/2026
We funded the amazing squeeze machine and large rocking chair (see photos), which the students absolutely love!
We have supported Animal Care across both of our school sites and have had a number of small animals in school, enabling students to engage in hands-on learning about looking after animals in different environments. This included guinea pigs and indoor/outdoor hutches, and we intend to ensure we continue to support this for all to enjoy!
We have purchased two large industrial gazebos to be used for a range of school events and for students to work and play outside with protection from inclement weather.
Friends supported the 6th Form Prom 2026, funding a photobooth at the venue to make magic memories!
Artwork and signage have been designed and provided for Work Related Learning & Technology.
This includes branded uniforms for Beauty@theTrack and Horticulture@theTrack placements, as well as the new mobile Coffee@theTrack Coffee Cart initiative. The Coffee Cart has already made very successful appearances at Sports Day and our annual music festival, Summer Sounds, with students doing a great job keeping the tea and coffee flowing. Well done!
Visits from ‘Walk on the Wild Side’ were funded by Friends and gave students the opportunity to have close-up animal and creature encounters within the school setting.
Friends continued to support hugely popular school events such as the Craft Fair and Summer Sounds 2026. Members helped plan and co-ordinate fundraising activities, run stalls, and support the smooth running of operations.
Finally, we saw the opening of the fantastic outdoor classroom at the Skircoat Green school site. This was a substantial investment, providing a fully accessible space with lots of great features that can be adapted for many uses throughout the year and for many years to come.
Thanks to all for the amazing donations and support that Friends of Ravenscliffe have received throughout the year. We work jointly with the school to enhance the lives of the wonderful young people who attend Ravenscliffe.
This was just a taste of what we managed during 2025/2026, and we are looking forward to doing even more in 2026/2027!
Look out for a ‘Friends of Ravenscliffe Trustee’ wearing one of our Pink T-Shirts at school events and come and say hello!
