Free School Meals Changes from September 2026
From September 2026, changes to Free School Meal eligibility may affect whether some children are eligible for Healthy Holidays Calderdale. Healthy Holidays Calderdale eligibility will continue to be linked to Targeted Free School Meals.
The leaflet explains:
• The new Free School Meal categories.
• How the changes may affect eligibility for Healthy Holidays Calderdale.
• The end of Transitional Protection arrangements.
• Where families can find further information and support.

🎨 Ravenscliffe Art Gallery - Experimental Paintings! 🎨
Year 9 had an experimental first day back last week - in their Art lesson!
They used different ways to paint and make unique patterns - using shaving foam and ice! 💙
They all look fantastic - and we especially LOVE Jacob's beautiful landscape piece - made painting with ice! 🌳🧊

🥉 15 students achieved their Bronze award and
🥈 6 students achieved their Silver award - the first in the school’s history!!
A huge well done to our students, and a huge thank you to our staff who helped ensure they achieved them - especially Catherine who is our DofE star!

We are sharing the below event on behalf of Family Hubs Calderdale.
"We are pleased to invite you to our SEND in Family Hubs Co-Production Workshop, bringing together parents, carers, practitioners and partners to help shape how we support children and families with additional needs across Calderdale.
"As part of the ongoing Best Start Family Hubs Programme, Calderdale is introducing the new Best Start Inclusion Practitioner (BSIP) role in line with Department for Education guidance. We want to ensure this role is developed in a way that reflects local needs, builds on existing strengths, and is informed by the experiences of families and professionals.
"SEND in Family Hubs Co-Production Workshop
- Arrival: 9:15am - workshop starts: 9:30am
- Lunch and refreshments will be provided.
